The information in this section is targeted for both school officials (superintendents, principals, nurses, teachers, etc.) and parents. One of our goals is to raise awareness; for instance a study conducted by the California Department of Health Services indicates 96% of elementary school buildings in the state contain lead based paint. According to the Labor Occupational Health Program, even a small maintenance job like drilling a hole can produce enough lead dust to poison a child.

We hope by aggregating relevant content that is easily accessible, we can offer productive strategies to help brighten the school environment. Debbie Lindgren, co-founder of bluedominoes, has personally worked with the superintendent and school nurse of her sons' school to make changes at their school and they seem pleased with the results.
