Changes in our diets over the last 100 years have altered the consumption of omega 6 fatty acids compared to Omega 3 fatty acids.  For centuries the ratio was thought to be around 2:1 (Omega 6 to Omega 3) and a typical western diet today has a ratio of around 10:1 and this can increase the inflammatory response in our bodies.  Systemic inflammation leads to conditions such as asthma, diabetes, allergies, and arthritis. 

The FDA tested 324 multi-vitamin/mineral products and discovered that all but 4 contained some amount of lead in them. The FDA concluded that the amount contained in the supplements were within guidelines and do not pose a threat.
