Linda Manaster, Co-Founder
A skilled manager and successful entrepreneur, Linda organized her first new business venture in 1993, called CompuCook, Inc., which she served as President & CEO. The company built the first "out of home portal network" of interactive touch-screen kiosks (placed in 9 out of the top 10 supermarket chains throughout the country). The kiosks dispensed solution-based information on demand including recipes, coupons, meal ideas, and nutritional information.
After taking some time off - during which Linda hiked in Nepal and attended cooking school in Italy, Linda founded her next venture, Larkin Street Foods. LLC. The company developed and marketed the Savvy Faire brand of gourmet-quality meals for the health and taste conscious. Linda also co-authored The Wine and Food Lover's Diet: 28-Days of Delicious Weight Loss.
Health and fitness have always held an important role in Linda's life. She played college tennis, ran the Los Angeles Marathon, and actively started practicing yoga in the early 1990's.
Linda began her professional career in 1988 as a financial analyst with Regent International Hotels, later accepting a similar position with the Disney Development Company. Linda is a graduate of Cornell University where she earned a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from Cornell's School of Hotel Management.
